Deer

We have had two deer in our yard this year. (that we have seen. I am sure they come by often to eat my plants when we aren't looking) These ones were after the mulberries though, so that was okay. They aren't afraid of us, and J got really close to this one. We tried to get it to eat peanuts from his hand. I named her Mildred.

Floating on the River

Now that we live in Conway, we don't have many weekends home to float down the river. We were able to go twice this year. Here are pictures me, J, Becca and Brad, Janelle, Becky and Julia. There were other people there too, but I didn't get pictures of everyone. Julia was so funny. Every time Bert's raft got stuck on a rock it made a loud noise and she would yell at him for farting. We also caught a big crayfish.

Butterfly

I just had to share this perfect picture of a yellow swallowtail butterfly (my favorite) on some sweet william flowers in my garden. And the other picture is Meadow Rue. It grew almost 8 feet tall, but it finally bloomed!

Girl's Night Out

Okay, I failed in taking pictures here, but me and the 5 other girls from our church group got together for dinner and a DVD. We watched "Peace in the Midst of Tragedy" from Bonnie Floyd ministries. She is an amazing speaker, and I highly recommend her. I made this peanut butter and chocolate cake for dessert. We all had a great time. Sorry I didn't get picture of us!

Summer Fun

We have been cooking on our new grill. This is delicious grilled pineapple with vanilla ice cream!
