Update
Hey Everyone!!
I don't have too much to update, but here are a few things that have been happening:
1. We are just finishing a candle fundraiser which didn't work out very well, I think we only got 6 orders. I wanted to go door to door around the neighborhood, but with all this snow we have trouble getting out of our own driveway.
2. Our Chiropractor, Cranberry Family Chiropractor, is helping us do a 50/50 raffle. I don't know how many tickets they sold at the office, but I sold some to all the guys at my work. We do the drawing on Wed.
3. My cousin, Dominic, gave us 14 dollars in change last weekend. He even rolled it for us, since I hate doing that part! He has been wonderful in helping us raise our money. Thanks Dominic!
4. At our last meeting we learned that it is offensive to cry in front of people in Africa. I think this will be Jason's biggest challenge. He can be very emotional and he doesn't think he can give his testimony without crying. I plan to make him practice it often. If you see him, ask him to tell the story to you! And lots of prayers that we will both be able to control our emotions when we are over there.
5.My cousin, Barron from Michigan, sent us a nice letter about his family and how everyone is doing. We really enjoyed reading it and catching up with family we don't talk to often.
6. Our next meeting is March 4, and we will get an update on how much money has been sent in so far. Thank you to everyone who has helped us so far. We know God will use us to do great things in Kenya!
