Dixie Stampede

The last night we went to the Dixie Stampede. We had drinks in a boot, a large dinner that we had to eat with our fingers and a great show. There were competitions and ostrich and pig races, songs and magic, and lots of horse back riding. It was a very entertaining show and they did a good job of involving the audience. We weren't allowed to take pictures during the show, so I don't have very many.

Clingman's Dome

We went on a hike to Clingman's Dome, which has an elevation of 6,643 feet! We drove about an hour through the mountain to get there, and then we had to hike 15 minutes straight up. I dont know how Becky carried Grace most of the way. I could barely make it with my side pain. The view was amazing though.

Gatlinburg

We went to Gatlinburg to look at all the little shops and to taste some moonshine. We met up with Becky, Kris, Julia, and Grace to walk through the mirror maze. It was tricky, you had to be careful not to run into walls.

Bird Mountain

We went to Bird Mountain one morning and hand fed some birds. It had beautiful gardens. I saw this sad butterfly though sitting under the trees.

Vacation in Tennessee

This year we went on vacation to the Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. We rented a large cabin near Dollywood, and had 17 people share it for a week! We had a great time. We went to Dollywood a few days. J and the kids loved the roller coasters, I mostly watched the two little girls, Bella and Grace, with Aunt Cindy and Uncle Glenn and my parents, since I couldn't ride very much. I did get to go on the swings with Becky and ride the flying elephants with Grace in kiddie land. We toured some museums at the park and went to listen to a few shows. The water park was really nice even though it rained part of the day. I enjoyed the wave pool with Uncle Glenn, and I was able to go on the water roller coaster with my mom and J. The lazy river was relaxing. At the cabin we enjoyed going to the pool, and we had a perfect view of the fireworks from Dollywood every night.

Crib

Just to clarify, Jason was posting on Facebook last night, and some people jumped to the conclusion that white cribs are only for girls, and he just went along with it. I asked him to add a new comment so no one would go crazy. I painted the crib white because my room is cream and brown, and the crib was black. I am also putting it in front of the dark brown curtains, and it would have disappeared. The color has nothing at all to do with the sex of the baby. Please dont run out and buy girl clothes because of Facebook!

3 Months

Here is a picture of me at 3 months pregnant. I do have a belly, but it isn't showing very much. Here is an updated ultrasound picture of the baby too-it looks much more like a baby now!

7 year Anniversary

It is hard to believe it has been 7 years already. I am so thankful for the marriage we have. This year it was copper and wool. I got J a baseball hat and I engraved the Hoover family shield into a piece of copper and framed it. J got me a copper hummingbird feeder that suction-cups onto the window, and a knit winter hat.
